Redeemer Presbyterian Church Food Pantry
Pantry Vision: The Redeemer Church Food Pantry team aspires to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of those less fortunate in our community. We seek to serve our customers who are in need, not only feeding the body, but ministering to the soul.
Pantry Mission: To give our customers a unique experience unlike any other pantry by creating an atmosphere of “ministry”. One of our goals is to show every customer and their family the love of Jesus by extending dignity, respect, and concern for their welfare – that we care about them!
Pantry Goals:
- Do all that is necessary to ensure the pantry is well stocked
- Endeavor to build a relationship with each client, taking an interest in their lives and needs. Love them well, pray with them
- Offer an opportunity for further fellowship and life/spiritual development by holding monthly Bible studies and life skills classes
- Go the extra mile to meet the specific non-food needs of our clients (wheelchairs, child items, air conditioning units, etc.)
When and Where: The Redeemer Church Food Pantry distributes food every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month (1st Thursday from 9am to 11am; 3rd Thursday from 5pm to 7pm) at the modular building to the left of Redeemer’s main sanctuary building
Who can get food: Anyone who needs it
How you can help the Food Pantry
Become a team member, volunteer! For anyone 13 years or older, we have tasks from carrying boxes of food out to clients’ cars to helping them shop for food items to helping to prep for upcoming pantry days. If you are a seasoned Christian, you can work in our Resource Center where we identify client needs, help them with solutions and pray for them and their families. Either contact any of the officers below or show up just before any pantry start time and speak to an officer about volunteering.
Donate! Food donations can be dropped off in the designated boxes in the lobby of Redeemer Church main sanctuary. For larger food donations, please contact one of the officers below to arrange pick-up/delivery. Monetary donations can be mailed or dropped off to Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 12404 Boyette Rd, Riverview, FL 33569. Be sure to identify the funds as earmarked for the Food Pantry.
